I always carry cash, but almost always use my debit card. I use cash where a card isn't an option...even for $2 ...although I don't think I could ever spend only $2 on something. My swiping hand is much faster than here's my cash...wait for my change ...put it back in my wallet.

I use a CC for my business expenses so I can keep track. Never keep a balance.

    Guilty....lol

Swiped for $1.69 coffee this morning. If I have cash in my wallet I am prone to spend it faster and easier than using my card. Whats funny is I have $40 worth of cash in my wallet but don't want to waste it on coffee

Even if I have cash in my wallet, I will swipe my debit card and still check out faster than someone using cash... especially the ones that want to count out the exact change (frustrating)!

The other day I went to the grocery store and had to wait behind this couple who purchased some stuff with cash, some stuff with an EBT card and some stuff with some WIC coupon thing.... oh, and cashed in some lotto tickets!!! I thought I was going to flip! When I got to the checker she said "Thank you for waiting" and gave me an "I'm sorry" look. I told her they should have a special checkout line for that kind of stuff!

Strictly cash, unless I'm buying something VIA the itranet.

In my shop I don't allow CC's for purchases under $15.00, and under $20.00 must use DBT.

I like the idea of a special line for people with special circumstances.
This way not all of us are help up waiting for them to pay with 3 different forms of payment!

Most minor purchases I do use ca$h probably out of habit, but...
I agree that it seems most cashiers run a credit card faster nowadays than they handle currency.
    No balance EVER!
Only interst I have ever paid in my life was on my home, and about 3 months on a truck loan.
Paid the house off in just over 10 years.

CC for everything here. I can swipe my card and get out of the way at Starbucks much faster than the cash guy. And now even at the store, you don't need to sign for transactions under $25 so it's faster. Receipts? I don't need a receipt. My CC statement will show me all I need to know.

    Cash is for the Casino.

I'm literally a fossil now, next thing you know I'll be looking in the mirror and have hair growing out my ears like my Grandfather used to, yuk.
