This was right outside the Golden Gate. The waters there are no joke. My Step Dad took me out there in a 16' tri-hull when I was 7. I haven't been back since but I always say I will....its kind of my personal Mt Everest.

Ive always been told never take a swell like that head on because of this and ur supposed to take it at an angle and roll with it and stay in the power a bit to get you over. Keeping it in the trough is the term I believe
