Dan Rodgers Top Alcohol Flat Crashes

While Racing Tony Scarlata in an elimination round on Sunday afternoon Dan crashes his boat while going at top speed. All that was left of the boat was the capsule and the piece pictured below. Thankfully he is ok. He did suffer a broken ankle and has some back pain. He was at the hospital undergoing an MRI for his back. Dan we wish you a speedy recovery.

Wow, the recovery crew sure recovered the boat fast. Especially with less than stellar conditions.

By far the worst boating accident I have witnessed, it is very impressive how safe those capsules are.

Happy to report I saw Dan Rogers last night at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. He is in good spirits and his ankle is not broken but his heel detached from his foot. He has a broken vertebrae in his back but it is in a good spot and will heal on its own while he wears a brace. HOPEFULLY, we will see him back racing. Dan and his family are great friends and very tough competitors.
