    Prop slip question

    So what would you do to get the slip lower?
    Below is current setup and the numbers from this past weekend.

    Boat = Ultra 26 Deckboat
    Motor = 496HO
    Gears = 1.5
    RPM's = 5200
    MPH = 65
    Prop = 26 lab

    Slip calculation = 24%

    Singleton I run a 24p stock on my magic with your same set up. Mine rolls over nice even with 8 people and that's my usual load. Have you tried a 24p?

    Not yet. The boat came with a 26 and I could not see 5K RPM with it, got the 26 lab and increased the RPM's but the slip is way to high. Might try a 24 next time out at the river.

    Rev limiter is set at 5250 in a 496HO.
    Based on conversation with Eric at Teague, the sweat spot is 4900 to 5000 rpm's
