I've been throwing around the idea of having a Southwind get together on the Colorado river for some time now. Since all the talk about another regatta has been going around. Though I would throw it out there and see if anybody would bite.
I figured since the upper Blythe has the cp deal and lower yuma area has the power tour. Why not have it in the middle? Location: Lower Blythe, CA . Between McIntyre and Riviera, Drop off Beach / sandbar. Its right outside of goose flats to the South.
Date: September 21st, 2013
Working with the manager at McIntyre to get a lower launch fee/ camping rate for regatta guests.
There are also motels in town....
Also Riviera has camping as well.

That sounds like a lot of fun to me. Always wanted to get down and check out the lower river. And to have some nice boats in the mix makes it even better.

No Problem guys. Want to make it as successful as possible. As of now there are about 15 confirmed going go far. hope to make it 30.

Since we got over 30 boats coming and most are southwinds, I am going to give out some awards for best 18, formula 1 t-deck, 19 tunnel, 20 cruiser and longest haul.

Also iam working on getting some art work together for some t-shirts. I want to see who would be up for some before t shirts b4 i go and get them made????

I don't know if i will be able to make it but i would be interested in a shirt. You should contact Tim (Futs) and see if he can help with some of the original southwind artwork.
