    Boat rear bench seat

My rear bench seat cushion has a small tear and is coming apart at the seam so I'm going to have it reupholstered. Well I started thinking about just having a new one made and going to a two piece seat rather than having one seat cusion to move around. I see some boats with the split seat and imagine its for easier access to storage or something. Is it worth it?

I like the two cushions. It's more convenient for accessing stored stuff and easier to move.

Yes, I had a Shockwave that was a single cushion across the back. When I had the interior done on it I went to a split and lived it. On my Daytona it had a split bench and when I redid the interior on it I split it into 3 for design reason. Personally if you can split into 2 you'll be really happy.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out and smokin, shouting "Holy Shit ...What A Ride!"

    Nice! Thanks for the input.

Another thing I just though of is that my perko switch is also under that seat. Well I change it frequently as I like to stop and float or hit a few different places and bump the stereo. Well it's a pain in the ass having to remove the entire seat and have everyone get up. I'm defiantly going to do this!

There were ice chests under my seats. The split seat allowed you to keep the cold air in the one that you didn't need to open. And someone could stay seated.
