Great pics. Love the fact that you guys made the trip in 25ft cats. I've made the trip to the island on a 42ft Fountain (ride back was in rough water) and loved it...

Nice run in a fairly small boat. So nobody jumped out in the channel for a swim?

    Cat to Catalina Run pics

Looked like a great trip... Something I would love to do one day.

Can one of you tell us how you dealt with the salt water, and the boat cooling systems, trailer, etc?

They have wash out stations at the ramp. I spray wd40 on my trailer wheels brakes and springs before we launch. I also spray the blower and flame arrester. They are exposed to the salt spray and it makes them easier to clean later.
Once off the water I just run the boat on the hose for five minutes to flush the motor and inner cooler. Then a good thorough wash of the boat and trailer and your all done.
Ideally the best thing would be to take the boat to a local lake the next day and dip it. This would more thoroughly flush the trailer. The salt ads a bit more work to the after boating routine but it is worth it every once in a while.

What they did was WD40 the trailer brakes before launching. After bring a hose wash down boat, trailer and hook it up to the motor run it for about 15min. Clean it out
