My job kind of sucks. 25 years now, need 5 more years to hopefully get decent retirement.

Nothing tonight. I really would rather not be working tonight for once.

The fact that work is only 15 minutes away from home on neighborhood street driving, living here in L.A., not having to battle it out on a freeway commute is a bonafide bonus. The fact that I work with engines, not people for a living. Engines don't purposely try to screw with you, ( like people ), and any mechanical difficulty is nothing more than a challenge, and there's a solution. There's always something to learn every day. And, just as when I was singing and got to meet so many "names" in that business that I grew up listening to, I now run into many "name "racers that I may have watched or read about in old Hot Rod magazines. I wear a uniform, so I don't have to decide what to wear to work, or thrash my own clothes for work. I can build my own "stuff", not pay others $$$$$ to do it.
