Those guys/girls are runners, they will help you with shoes, diet etc. This time of year I will wear calf braces to keep my legs warm and prevent crapping. Stretch well and expect soreness of you only run on a part time basis. There's also joint vitamins for your bones etc.
On days that I run I go first thing in the morning. I set my alarm at 5am and I get my butt up and go! What I eat for dinner the night before is key for my energy level!
Btw, I'm 158lbs this morning, and 160lbs at the end of the day with shoes on and 3 meals inside me.

Pokey, Why do you want to prevent crapping? Doesn't crapping help with weight loss?

I find this thread fairly amusing. This forum is packed with alcohol consumption sensationalism and "look at my food" threads yet it's comes as a surprise when we're overweight....lol

Haha. Notice one of those culprits (me) isn't offering to participate.
Actually I've been around 210 for almost 10 years now.. Not my ideal weight but I eat and drink what I want to.

I don't drink often or a lot and I most certainly don't eat what I want. :(
In order to maintain my weight, if I don't work out, I can't consume more than 1350 calories!!! Freaking sucks!

That's a damn good summation of this thread/forum.
I'll go back to the What's for Lunch thread now.
