Fiber glass

Well I got fucked over on this trade for this boat the guy came out that dose fiber glass work and he said its really bad and he found more on the other side he said its gonna coast 2500 to fix it and 3000 if I want carpet because he has to take it all out .I have no fucking clue what to do is this boat really worth it ? Should I find a shell and get a motor swap the motor is good in my boat
