Shannon and I met up with Dustin (Menace Marine) today for our trip down to IMCO..Westernaero showed up to give me shit... Shortly after we headed down to IMCO. The Crew at IMCO are great to deal with..As I walked in the back of the shop the the guys took me right to my drive that was sitting on the stand...Did I say this is a REAL NICE PIECE?? The SCX drive came with a new redesigned lower..It's called the 1400..it's a blueprinted lower with a different look on the skeg...looks way different than the 1300 skeg.. changes were made to the lower to help issues with the SCX on Cats...They took me thru and showed the differences between the SC and SCX... major part upgrades...(my SC lasted about 20hrs)..so I asked about HP concerns..We were told "we have boats out there pushing 1300 HP and the drives have no issues (not blowing up)..The stories I heard about the SCX was loss of MPH after install...That didn't bother me as much as a drive surviving (HP/TORQUE concerns)..So I have one of the first 1400's...I'm waiting for our new Cutting Edge props to show up and we'll end up testing right after the boat show at Lake Havasu..we're gonna try a stock merc 34 and 36, then the Cutting Edge props...So between Dustin and I we'll get this boat dialed in...I'll post pics of the drive tomorrow when I get to work...BTW sorry this is a boating related thread.....Eddie
