So has anyone ever been to the Top of the Notch restaurant? I have always wanted to check it out.

Yep, just went a couple of months back. They do a BBQ on Sunday's, I had no idea that people camped up there, tents were dotting the hillside, it was pretty cool. For the life of me I'm forgetting the owners name, his GF and my GF know eachother.
