Those are, I'm assuming grade 5 or lower bolts. How tight are you torquing them to? Are they being stretched past their limit on install and then failing from the load maybe?

Did you know slamming a 500hp motor in gear at high rpm's will shear a 1 1/4" prop shaft clean in half like it was cut with a saw?

Yes. Possible....I assume that's how they broke before. This time doesn't appear to be the case.

There is about 1/4" to the bottom. The bolts pictured were only in about an hour before snapping.
