Send Me a Postcard is an oldie but goody. It is a 60's psychedelic surfer twang song with a rather "frantic" beat and delivery.
I don't know why, but at wide open throttle, running cove lines at 70 MPH+ in the Miller that song ALWAYS is in my head.
I am going to make a POV go pro vid this summer doing that and lay that track over it.

The Shocking Blue is better known for the song "Venus".

Mariska Veres was the singer, a Dutch women who really led the way for the likes of Ann Wilson, Grace Slick, etc with her bell clear voice and seemingly effortless range.
Cancer took her at 59 YO, in 2006.
She still has a cult following, as does the shocking blue, and is considered by them (Me also) to have been a pivotal influence in those GREAT years when Rock and Roll was being defined.

She was a TRIP...You would have liked her!!

Can't chill on the beach without this song playing....

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out and smokin, shouting "Holy Shit ...What A Ride!"
