From what I hear, they are flush with the ground and you have to squat over them! 😁

Exactly.......even some of the nicest places have those along with what they call the "western style" toilets.

Heading to the Cologne Cathedral today with a stop by the love lock bridge. I'll post pics when I get there. Then we are back for one more night in this town so my grandma can visit another friend before moving to northern Germany tomorrow.
