You have something you can back that foolish statement with?
I have been to a boat race or two in my days, and the wedge is NOT setting records, nor do I think it holds a single record it may have set DECADES ago.
In its hey day, it was a second rate engine to the 427 Ford FE and the RECORDS prove that out as well.

If your talking about ANY gas class, blown or unblown, I think if you bother to look, you are very wrong. No hemis are sitting records anywhere in anything with the possible exception of a super stock class or 2 at the asphalt drags. I think you'll find waaaay more records held by Chevy than Mopar, in ALL motorsports, not just asphalt drags. Its not even a contest.
On fuel, yeah, but don't confuse those engines with ANYTHING Chrysler ever built. Far from it.

But this isn't a pissing match about horsepower now is it? I was merely stating that the block is extremely tall and the pan is pretty deep, and that combined it forces the engine to set very high in the boat. Nothing more.

OG you wanted boating content, GN7 is almost pure boating yet you're giving him a hard time. He's a little grumpy on occasion and I don't understand his chip with DCB's, other than that he's a pretty good guy. And he's been there done that.

must be winter, some good info here and Westernareo has said it right, if a new person to boating started to read this thread they might think that if they asked a question they would get crap back, just remember when it was our turn to learn.....on that boat OG is doing it will not be a record setter but a nice ski pleasure boat at best, like everything tech has come a long way.....come on summer......

Rule#1, If you either need help of advice or you just want people to look at your "hey look at me" thread on your boat, it would probably be best to not trash somebody else thread in an open discussion forum, and bitch. Then rant about others when they do join in your second "hey look at me" thread which so far has very little boat content and info from HIM. Just more ranting. He does best when he just post pictures.
