V-drive pros, explain engine placement. Please be sure to let everyone know the difference between race only and river play boat type of install. Explain flywheel forward vs backward, angle of drive shafts, splined shafts, etc.

You can't just simply generalize on this. Way too many variable from 100's of different types of hulls. Crank snout driven logic ties into the theory that right hand propellers make turning left more efficient. That's why you see that configuration in circle boat racing especially in the States.
