Wouldn't go as far as calling me a "surfer" I'm more like a semi beached seal. But, should I make surfer status, I'll figure out what it is

Great effort Eli it looks like your in good hands with these guys! .... surfing takes a lot of patience along with some pretty good physical ability, once you ride your first wave all the punishment will be worth it
Cardiff is also a great spot to learn, very easy rolling break usually .... right in front of the campgrounds.

Thank you! I rode my first two waves today it was super fun. Totally worth all the salt water I swallowed. I just have to learn to put one foot in front of the other and more importantly CLOSE MY MOUTH. I live very close to Cardiff. But OCPhotographics and Stryderphoto come from OC so the place we meet at by the San Onofre boobs is the best spot that's in the middle.

I got most of my water intake when I tumbled forward in the waves. One wave had me doing 2 summer salts and I was so discombobulated I didn't know which way was up. I do know I hope I'm NEVER water boarded

I don't want to do that ever again lol...only thing I could think of was Darren is 30 feet in front of me and Scott is 15 feet behind me. Phew I won't drown if they can find me under here. I was very scared as I'm a terrible swimmer. I think the first thing I said when I came up was "FUCK"!!!
I think they can now tell how I feel when I come out of a wave. If I shoot up head back...I'm good...if I come up face down I had a rough ride.

Yeah I've had a few conversations with God while being held under ..... seconds seem like minutes. The more you go you will get a certain comfort level of being out there ... also you will become a better swimmer whether you want to or not
