It used to be that jet boats were so slow there wasn't any reason to take the v-drive off the trailer. Those days are gone.

Because he's not man enough for the low freeboard and at the same time he knows jetboats are chick magnets. It's a lose lose for him.

My wife said I can look at the jet boat I mean menu but don't order from it...

Jet boat / v-drive guys typically work on their own or even build their own boats and are "gear heads" at heart. It's something that most guys that buy big turn-key boats with merc engines don't understand. There's just no feeling like flying down the river watching the hull flex with the loud roar of dry headers behind you! If I had to sell one of my boats, the cruiser would go 1st.
