They are mandatory at LOTO with the Midwest winters, if you didn't use one the ice would crush your lift and ruin it, I had a 1hp ice eater and it ran about 10-12 hours a day from mid dec to march 1, better than finding your boat sitting on a block if ice. Originally Posted by Hotboat

I know this isn't Missouri, but this is the High Desert in Ca. it was one of our rare Snow storms.Believe 1/2 of what you see and nothing of what you hear.
