I'm thinking I'll probably check out the Tom Papp deal. I've been before and it's pretty cool.

It's a morning into afternoon noon event. Some guys will show up early and some late. What you want to do is, get some shots from the dock and parking lot as everyone arrives then hitch a ride over with someone to the cove which is really close. Then you can shoot (or provide

I really really want to go to TPR. If I get a day off next week, I'll make a turn around to the river and grab my boat.

Although some try to keep this on the down-low, the Tom Papp event is most likely Saturday, January 4. I'm assuming that the majority of the boats will launch from Elsinore West Marina (32700 Riverside Drive). I've seen as many as 70 to 80 boats in the past. Most get there between 8:30am and 10am -- then launch and head across the lake to the ski channel. Water level is low so the ramp at Elsinore West won't be at its best, but probably okay for 20' and under jet boats. There's a much better ramp about a quarter mile away at La Laguna Resort/Boat Launch (32040 Riverside Drive) -- lots of docks and even a fresh water wash-down (BYO hose).
