Just guessing around here, gunnel to motor cutout 1', motor cutout 2', rear deck to inside of motor cutout 1' = 4' X2 = 8' plus maybe 2.5' for steps width = 10.5' beam?
21'r with a 10.5' beam would be exactly a 2:1 length to width ratio...........maybe them Yamaha dudes were on to something...
