Are you the first guy to actually have muffler bearings for the fans in the exhaust?

Are those the IMCO removable mufflers? I head they work well but impede a lil horsepower so they're not very common on big Hp boats.
Not IMCO's. They look like Zoomers. We used them in the past. The "propeller" is restrictive and costs HP. We've removed them and made gains, but increases the noise level quite a bit. The IMCO mufflers are way less restrictive.

Thanks for the info. Have you compared them on the dyno?

I have not as it would be almost impossible to duplicate the exhaust, load, etc. as installed in a boat. I did a comparison on the lake. Zoomers with "propeller" 5300 rpm's, without "propellers" 5500, IMCO Gatlins 5625, no mufflers 5800. 540 BBC EFI 725 HP @ 6000

I was hoping to quiet and slow the boat down...I don't like driving over 80mph with out tabs...

the motor is a merc stock 525... nodigg say he went in the 90's with his...

might need some tunnel tabs...or drive it slower...

wasn't try'n for all out top speed or we would have used different power..

to cruise 65 not on pin was the quest.....
