Already happening.
I saw it for sale in Texas a few years back, the listing had all kinds of misspellings. I called Barry about it since I knew his family connection with those boats, my buddy Joe just about had it...next thing I knew, Carson had it. I believe Kornowski did the repairs. I haven't seen it, not sure if the original gel was saved...

Also cool to see pics of Crazy Horse ... thanks! ...in Needles of all places. Pretty interesting that it had a Pfaff chevy in it, Paul's been around awhile.
This almost sounds like the beginning of Al Bush and Crazy Horse the way the article reads.

Paul goes way back. Pfaff & Sowens made a name for themselves building blown fuel small block chevies that ran with the hemis.

Shooter, I saw that you posted this on PB awhile back. This is a great shot.
Double eagle asked you when and where. I loved you answer, "give me 5 guesses and I can tell you" Sums up the boats history in a nutshell.
I can pretty much narrow it down to Salton Sea, and as you know, 64 or 65.
There are a couple give things that make me say its at SS. Straight over the top of the Ford wagon is Rudy's U6 Phffft with a large Rayson script on the side. Rudy usually drove that boat. He used it to win the Clear Lake enduro in 1964 even though he had the Allison boat, he used the U6 boat in that race. The 2 very seldom if ever raced in the same race except SS 500. 1964 Fowler drove it to 2nd place behind the Allison, ahead of the 1963 winner #69 Sanger of Wells Wilson.
The other give away is the device on the helmet you see resting on tank. That thing, whatever it is, only appears when Rudy ran the Salton 500 in the Allison boat. I have seen others with the same thing, but only at SS 500. I also think it is some how linked to the thing mounted on the rear deck in this picture, although I think they relocated that part somewhere else in the boat because it doesn't show up other pictures.
No matter where or when it was shot, its a great pic. I'm think I'll have a print made of that one.

I love that pic! It doesn't just capture a few guys and a couple of boats. It captures an era!!!
