There were a lot of different types of hulls in all the sprint classes back in the early 70's. SK was short for ski (boat) and they were originally limited to 400 inches. They did allow for a little bit bigger engines just before the class disappeared around 1980.

Very cool stuff here, thanks for posting this Jerry.
Cool to know that Jack Pelican was still racing Checkmate SK-26 in 1972. Also looks like Ron O'Brien's King Me SK-38 was 2nd for points in 1971.

My pleasure Ryan.
Yeah, I think the Schiada's were the boat to beat late 60's and into the early 70's.

Too bad that one doesn't list hull types. I wonder what Al Grundstrom's Jiffy was in 1964...
In my last post there's photos of Jiffy in the later 60's racing Super Stock with the number SS-4 but that hull wasn't around in 64.

I help with what I know. Haf gast Too was a Stevens with a Vic Edelbrock built Hemi, Cream Puff was a Rayson with a Keith Black built Hemi, Honker was a Rayson, Volks Wagen was probably a Wickens, although it is possible it was a Aqua Craft, Charger was a Rayson(Dick Jones was the head tech guy for Champion plugs), Maricich's Suddenly was a Hemi powered Patterson, (was a 396 chevy by October of 1964), Penhalls Sizzler was a Hemi powered Patterson, pretty sure Sigalos' Sinner was a Hemi powered Patterson as well. He and Penhall were best friends. They both died in Sigalos plane flying home from Tahoe. Bruce Penhall and Dennis Sigalos were best friends as well and teamed up in the Ocean Spray Offshore boat.
Shreenan's Conquisttador was Rayson with a Hemi, Len Shreenan was my dads boss from about 1957 thru 1970. He owned Schiadas later.
Lou Brummett was in a Mandella, probably hemi powered, or a destroked 427 Ford.
PS I believe Haf Gast won that race for the second year in a row. Suddenly won the Nationals in October with a Dunsmore built 396 Chevy.
the rest I am clueless. Its kind of tricky due the year and even the class. Tony Maricich used a Keith Black Hemi in a Howard for the SS class called Super Suddenly the following year.

Cecil Florence's boat won quite a few races in this era. He also ran a E Boat too
