1917, and dropped it in 1919, and it was overhead valve to boot. It left such a bad taste in their mouths they abandoned the idea and never tried it again until 1955. You just know the thing had to be a piece of shit. They made up for it though Originally Posted by FormulaZR

Nascar saved their sorry asses from looking like total stooges. In all the time Ford built the POS, they never got a single one to go 500 miles, IN ANYTHING! 3 consecutive LeMans victories, and not a one with their so called "premier" engine. Originally Posted by 2manymustangs
