Yes EVERYBODY learned that you can't beat em, so you join em. Even if you were running a Ford or Chevy. Switch or LOSE. Sponsors don't like losers. Even Ford understands. Its why they are willing to pay Force the big bucks even though they know he is running a Chrysler Hemi knock off. Winning with a Hemi beats the shit out of looking like a stooge with a SOHC.
