I'm down! I'll be driving up to OC around noon, maybe grab lunch and then have a drink or two before the event. Maybe there is somewhere close we can go to?

At the end of the 55 fwy (it ends at 19th St.), on the right hand side is the "Triangle" (used to be called Triangle Square), it is mostly bars and restaurants. There is Yard House, Sutra, Black Night, Saddle Ranch, El Corrazon and a couple others. I prefer Black Night, then Yard House, then Saddle Ranch.

In that area, there are all kinds of little bars to hang out at.
