Because Costco pays their employees more than Walmart pays.
Keep in mind when you're in a hurry it always takes longer

Side note: my law school Dean Emeritus, who I did my thesis with, was one of the attorneys who represented the Price family during the Costco-Price club merger. Needless to say, his $130,000 plus teaching income was donated back to our school bc well he just didn't need any more money
