Kind of funny thing today...When I was talking to Scott he told me one of his customer's came in and said that the reason he bought his 1981 Spectra is because of this Spectra. To top it off this is one of the guys from another forum that recommended me to use Scott. He didn't know that I had bought Greg's old Spectra so he was kind of surprised when he saw it at the shop. Here's his 1981 Spectra.

So what's going on with the prop, shaft, or alignment to wear that bore oval like that? What material is that strut? Has Scott given you any clue as to why that's happening?

He said he thought it might have been from too much heat when the steel strut was welded together. I will talk to him more about when he get's done with the blast plate.

So the bore warped/oval'd when it was welded, not from some odd side load or vibration or something like that. He thinks it was like that from day-one, right? Just being curious, is all.
