Furthermore if the racers just want to race then they should have been there.

I think so. Fans don't pay for admission so it's not like they're helping the pot. At the same time, sponsors are trying to get to the fans wallets which is why they put out the sponsorship dollars. You need them all but true racers are there for the race and will race wether fans show or not.

What to see the NHL REALLY fail? Tell them they have to spend 50,000 a year for your fucking entertainment. Guarantee it fails, I don't care how much coverage it gets.
Did not see you there. So I guess I could have brought my kayak and beat you. Damn. Next year

The racers that wanted to be there were, and those that didn't weren't. No different than you. You just seem to have sour grapes because you seem to think people owe you free entertainment for your kid.
You want to see some boats, go to Bluewater this thanksgiving and you will see some boats. Plenty of them.
Sorry that not as many people as you hped were willing to part with their money for your kids entertainment.
I wan't there because I don't happen to agree with the format. I have that choice just like the millions of other boaters that didn't enter.

Did you park your brain when you wrote that? Races are put on every weekend throughout the country, with no sponsors. You have it in your mind that they are out there for you entertainment or some big ass pay out. THEY ARE NOT!!
Racers make a decision when and where they are going to race and with and against who. The spectators have little to do with that decision. When the number of spectators starts effecting the cost to race, then and only then will the spectator have ANY say in the matter. Until then, STFU and enjoy the 3 boats that might show up to entertain you ass FOR FREE

If you were a real racer you would have been out there entertaining everyone. Quit being cheap and start dancing.

First ran out of cash, then interest to entertain the whiners. Speed limits aren't my thing. Its why a quit drag racing. Hope this doesn't become the new standard in boat racing. All the boats equipped with GPS and stop watches and cruise controls.
