Glad you enjoyed the races! In a former life, those tracks were my old stomping grounds! I raced comp eliminator from 97-99 and then Pro Stock in 2000. I was part of a two car team out of the Steve Schmidt racing camp with Brad Jeter. We qualified at nearly all of the races and won several rounds. The highlight of my season was my car (I had to step out of the seat for a few races) qualifying #1 at Indy with Mark Osborne in it. I know a lot of the guys still in the sport, most are really good people, with a few others thrown in as well. Drag racing is very hard work and I have much respect for those who take on that job.

Wow that's super impressive. Do you have any pics? I have new appreciation for the drivers, I found that sitting in the stands was a very different experience. Then standing on the blacktop with the protection of the K-rail (?). There was significantly more pressure from the force.
