I started going to Pismo with my parents in about 1988. For about 12 years we would go atleast 10 times a year. Now I only make it over about 3 times a year and sometimes I don't even ride, we just go for the day and hang out. I've had a ton of fun there over the years but it's not the same there as it used to be.

Are you in the right thread...? We usually spend New Years week in Havasu but I don't know if it's going to happen this year.

Yea, Wendi bumped a thread about partying with the Hotboat crew at Riverland. I checked, they have a few spaces available for $54/night, sounds like a good time for New Years.

So what has changed? I don't know much about the dunes since I have only been to Pismo Beach and Glamis once. We rented quads at Pismo Beach and a friend of mine gave us the grand tour of Glamis in his sand car. Two different beast but both were really fun.

Went once and my trailer was never the same. Great riding though.

You can't go wrong renting a trailer. You don't have to pay for extra fuel to pull the trailer. You don't have to worry about the tide coming up or getting stuck in the river crossing. And so on...
