Sorry Joey but these guys just opened this year I think, you may have not known about them: http://lakeozarkswatertaxi.com/
Also, there are many captains for hire to drive your boat for the day/night.
If you guys come out here to hillbilly country (lol), let me know and I will do everything I can to hook you up!
Just don't tell everyone about our little pond in Missouri, otherwise we will be invaded by all those California people!! Lol
So many boats...so little time.

Cool deal
Lol, your "little" pond out there makes every fresh body of water we have out here look like a puddle!

I'm hoping by then to fly out early, buy a boat, use it for the week, then sell it when we leave

Actually that's not a bad idea, there's a guy I know that does it every Summer, he stays for three weeks, but he buys a boat for 7-8K, uses it for the the time he's at LOTO then has a broker sell it for him, it works out great.

Problem is if I bought your boat, I'd never leave it

It takes me two days with boat in tow. If no boat in tow you could almost drive it non-stop [brutal]. People think it is easy to haul your boat and equipment 1,800 miles it is not. Plus, have all your lodging set and figure out launching and docking your boat. People in the mid-west do not launch and retrieve everyday like we do out west. They launch and dock it for the duration.

The pool and drinks at Coconuts are awesome one of the nicest bars to hang out for the day. Even more so if it is hella hot. We went by boat and it was sooo worth it.
LOTO is fun when your not in business mode. In 2014, the family wants to go...but no Shootouts just cruise around and have fun. Doing camera duty all day is not fun...on the flip side you do meet a lot of people working.
