It's been a tough couple a weeks to say the least. Black open boat is going to the finals though.

No it sure wasn't. Motor was the only thing saved besides some hardware we can use as a template on the next boat.

Did you guys get the capsule back? When Hannes wrecked Showtime USA in Chowchilla..we got the motor and running gear back..they didn't give me the capsule back till the next day...

ok, I just looked back at the pics..so you guys did get it back...what happened with the black boat?

Labor day they were coming home from Wheatland and like 25 miles from their house had a bad blow out on a rear tire of the truck, so violent it broke the axle when it hit the wall, then swung the boat around so hard the trailer bent and the boat got a little tore up. Tech inspected the capsule and gave it back the same day it happened. Maybe because it was the first round of the day. Not sure.
