    That looked like an explosion at the top, was that the rock just coming loose and "slingshoting" all the debris to make it look like an explosion?

    It does look like that but I think that is the boulder impacting a lower part if the mountain than where it can from. Good thing for the car that it slowed down to drive through the water.
