I can honestly say, I have not been fresh water fishing. I am going to Parker labor day weekend and wanted to bring a light rig with me and give it a shot. Any suggestions on bait and lb test line to bring? Im just going to pick up a decent rod and reel from Walmart to start.

Treble hook, some decent sliding weights and potato bread will get you so hard fighting carp right off the riverland dock in the early evening.
