My sportfisher had teak all over it and never again. Hallett was always going for the classy look I'm thinking, with the teak step and floors in the bigger models. I don't know that it would look right with a different style step, and I agree that milling it down will give you issues. I like the look of the aluminum steps, but they're spendy and would ruin that boat's look I think. Let the new owner deal with it.
