Thank you, I'll be screaming it up and down the river in 10 days time..needles, Parker, and of coarse havasu...winter rides are the fastest...
Teaching my 19 year old how to drive a twin, she can handle the STV and Daytona, so far she is doing well with this one, just docking is a little much yet.
So I bought this little 1971 Schuster Tahiti a few years back.....Most likely not a Hotboat like most are here.
Only to get it home and figure out I can't live with the worn our black seats, faded carpet and well weather original motor.
So the work begins for the next few years with new carpet, interior, new gas tank and repainted the motor
Still not likely to make Hotboat status
So last year getting ready to get it wet everything was fine until the horror of the 1971 Seletric motor popped up and it no longer would shift out of forward. So with the lack of used O/B's locally I run across a 2011 Mercury 150 HP OptiMax hang off the back of a rental boat complete with hydraulic steering, oil injection and I forget what else for $4500.00.
6 months and and a chunk of change later I have a 1971 Hull with all new controls complete with kill switch ( I was advised to Use), cables, hydraulic steering, oil injection, stereo and speaker, Mercury Smart Craft monitor and a 2011 150 OptiMax hanging off the back.
Next deal is to mount a 13 gallon bow tank to level this thing out.
