BFG quality went way downhill when they stopped making tires over 10 years ago. I used to run BFG M/T's exclusively and they just hit the wall. I'd rotate them more than I'd change the oil and it got to the point that that didn't even help. There was a point when like 3 out of 4 of the A/T's they were selling were coming back with separation issues as well.
When I say BFG stopped making tires, it's true. They went into the aerospace industry and sold the tire side of the business to Michelin. They've reworked a few things and the last time I was shopping tires for my truck the M/T's were more expensive than the Toyo Open Country muds that I have been getting 40K+ miles out of on a 35" tire. I'll stay where I'm at currently and don't forsee running BFG's on anything again. My next purchase will be a new set of 40's for my Jeep. Got Goodyears on that and they seem to be wearing well, and are lighter than the Toyo's.
