I think the Cardinals finally came to the realization that an unlimited supply of backup quality quarterbacks does not an offense make.

The QB was so bad, I had to look at the roster to see if he was on the Reserved/Injured/first time playing football list.

I saw a graphic during the game tonight that said he had actually started 3 games for the Cardinals prior to being cut in 2012......he was re-signed from the Chargers practice squad on 12-14 or maybe it was 11-14....either way it struck me that it wasn't that long ago.

I feel bad. He was thrown into the starting QB position and obviously not prepared for it. I'm confused as to why they cut him in August 2014 and less than 3 months later Nov 2014, he's back. His track record has never been starting material. With Palmer and Stanton both injured...they must've been desperate. But, there has to be a better QB out there...is it finances?

My Guess is that they neede a QB who was familiar with or could get familiar with the Cardinals offense, players and system quickly combined with the fact that he was available "Poof" a few million dollars later he's onboard

Go ahead and skewer me for this one but I think Tim Tebow would be a great choice for an Arizona quarterback. He has the character of a Kurt Warner, the proven will to win, his work ethic is equivalent to Larry Fitzgerald's, he has a Heisman trophy in his case and he's smart enough to learn anyone's system. He's big, strong and fast enough to run the ball out of trouble from time to time without getting Manzieled and he won a national championship proving his worth. With an off-season to groom, I think he'd bring some much needed credibility to an otherwise nameless, but very talented team.
Am I wrong on this?

Dammit. I tried to get tickets to the GB/Detroit game 12/28, all sold out.

I agree!! Do they want to win the Super Bowl or a "sweetest team" contest? They have an excellent team with so much potential. They are just missing the glue.

Lindley was a Cards 6th round pick in 2012. He started 5 or 6 games for them before he was replaced as starter. He was still with team til this off season when they opted to keep a rookie over him as 3rd string. He came to Chargers and ended up on the practice team. When Stanton went down they preferred to resign him over playing the rook. Strange way to go about it all.
I love my wife, my wife loves me.:encouragement:

You're better off with a rookie who has played football in the last year vs the guy who's played 8 games in the last 3 seasons and has proven himself to be a fantastic interception thrower and never thrown a single touchdown in his professional career...did they expect a Christmas miracle? Very strange way to go about it.
