"Lake Superior hasn’t completely frozen over in two decades.
But an expert on Great Lakes ice says there’s a “very high likelihood” that the three-quadrillion-gallon lake will soon be totally covered with ice thanks to this winter’s record-breaking cold."

"Check your calendar: It may read mid-November, but the weather today and Tuesday will feel like January.

Windy and cold conditions are forecast for today in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, with daytime highs only in the teens. Lows tonight will fall to near zero, give or take a few degrees, and overnight low-temperature records could be broken, according to the National Weather Service Office in Valley, Nebraska.

Forecasters said today should be partly sunny, windy and cold in the Omaha area, with highs around 18 during the day, flurries in the afternoon and northwest winds gusting to around 35 mph. The low tonight could dip to around zero, the weather service said.

Omaha already reached its high for the day early Monday a little after midnight, said the weather service, with a reading in the 20s."

-In a Republic, the sovereignty resides with the people themselves. In a Republic, the government is a servant of the people, and obliged to its owner, We the People..

"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." John Adams
