Their standard sockets are not meant for impact wrenches and a 16 point socket is the weakest possible choice for a tough job. Just saying.

The Harbor Freight adapter was the next thing to break when I pulled out the Allied 8-point.
Needless to say, the nut is still holding the clutch basket in place.
...Use a proper socket, and , ( Christmas is coming ), invest in some higher quality tools than Freight sells. As for Craftsman tools....well, I am guessing the case here is likely mis-use of the tool, than the tool being defective.
