I only buy shot gun shells but I'm pretty sure you can get .22 shells at Wal Mart. My buddy buys ammo there about twice a month.

Not here, .22 ammo is scarce and often sold at a premium. When Walmart gets some it sells out in minutes. To their credit they don't price gouge though. I notice there is a little thing going with people here where they text their buddies and they all come running when Walmart gets .22's in.
