My client called me, while in tears she told me her $6k dentist bill was sent to a collection agency and the guy was harassing her, making sexual comments, calling her names...etc. I get the phone number and call the place to get an address, you know where I'm going to serve him. He answers the phone, assumes I'm actually my client and proceeds to harass me. Calls me names, suggests I just called bc I want to talk to a "man" I finally told him who I am and gave him my bar number. You'd think it would stop. He called me back 3 times, I finally had to give the phone to my BIL to get the prick off my ass. So, yea I told him ...I'm going to sue the shit out of your ass. Of course once he realized he was really harassing an attorney, he stopped calling. But, I couldn't believe the shit he was saying bc he thought I was my poor client. Oh and get this, it was all recorded. I feel so bad for my client. I would love for a jury to hear those recordings.

My only concern is he's some fly by night collection guy. But, not to worry, when I sue her dentist for telling her family about her debt, I'll find out all the details about the douchbag. Then, when I take douchbag's deposition, while on the record, I'm going to say, "don't you wish you believed me when I told you I'm an attorney." 😝

I'd hate to be that collections guy. What a dirtbag. I had a friend of mine getting calls from a dirtbag like that once. After I talked to him for about two minutes, he changed his tone really quick.
