Good morning everyone. My public safety announcement today is...DON'T RUN INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC!! And if you're going to be that stupid, don't add to the stupidity by doing it in the dark.

I drive up PCH to the Pilates studio in the morning. It's still completely dark outside, but being that I live in SD, there are tons of people running, walking, cycling at that time. Almost once a week, I see someone dart out to cross the street, yes from one side of PCH to the other, while trying to dodge traffic. I'm constantly scanning the streets like a crazy lady just in case someone thinks I have super power eyesight.
Well today, I m waiting at a red light and there's a work truck on my right also waiting. A lady decides rather than wait for the cross walk, she's going to chance it and run across the street as our light turns green. Being use to the crazy people I expected it from her and waited to see what she's going to do. Well the guy in the work truck next to me, who probably doesn't drive down this road as regularly as I do, didn't see her and as I see his car start to roll forward, you know the moment before you hit the gas, I could just see the disaster that was going to happen as she is still running directly in front I him. I start honking my horn like a batshit crazy lady, I'm sure he also heard me screaming "NOOOOOO" as he accelerated. She, dumbass, doesn't stop, instead she speeds up. At this point if he hit her, it would have been dead center of his giant grill. Approximately, 4-5 feet from her he starts to break. At this point I close my eyes and pray. He barely misses her. I felt so bad for him. When I passed him, he could barely drive. He must've been terrified thanks to dumbass. Well what's the point of being healthy and working out at 5:30 in the morning, if you're gonna Fucken get killed by running in front of cars??

Thanks crazy....When I jog on the streets in the morning, I always try and stick to side streets where traffic is a minimum at 5am. Especially now in the morning when it is still dark, it can get a little sketchy....Im a firm believer in the bigger vehicle has the right away not the pedestrian lol
