That dock was used for break bulk cargo. Steel beams and wire rod type stuff mostly. It's a really old dock with a lot of history. Apparently a spark from a welder started it. The pylons under the dock are wood and are treated with something to preserve them and that was the chemical that was burning. Smell was horrible. It was actually burning under the dock since it was all built with wood. Flames were crazy.Originally Posted by riverrunner1984
