JBB was a well known personality and moderator over at riverdavesplace.com As I understand it, he left and is a part of another website.

Someone signed up here using his screen name, JBB, some time back. I sent him a few notes asking him to prove his identity and he never responded. I also talked to a couple people over the weekend who confirmed the false identity. So I banned him pending proof. So far nothing.

No one actually owns their screen name, its more of a common courtesy to let them have it or use it if they're known for it.
