As far as I know, Manx and Funco are the only VW powered cars that ever beat the bikes, and the Funco was a full tube frame offroad racer. After that, Stroppe prepared Broncos ruled the place. It wasn't until 1975 that the bikes started dominating.

I came across a original manx body a few years ago but it was just a little too far gone for my level of interest... THere is one 5x as rough as the one I saw ebay now with the d meyer tag, stretched for an IRS pan... Hindsight being 20/20 I should have...
