My First Ride in a K-boat- My story with k-034

First off, I can't thank K-034, Mrs. K-034, Papaletch4130 and everyone else enough! It was great meeting everyone and hanging out with you guys all weekend, had a blast.

Going into it, I must say I was a little nervous. I had been looking forward to this ride for a little over a month but after hearing a number or pretty wild stories from various people, before my ride, I couldn't help but be a little nervous. With that being said, as soon as I strapped on the helmet and Chris fired up the motor I couldn't help but smile. Everything everyone told me went completely out the window and I was ready for the ride of my life.

We made a couple slow passes in front of the makeshift "course" to get everything up to temp. Coming into the far turn, I tried to prepare myself for what I "thought" I was in for. Boy was I wrong, lol. As soon as he hit the gas I was thrown back in the seat and the boat rocketed to 100+ mph. I must say there were a number of things that went through my mind at this point but the funny thing is, I couldn't help but smile. It was an absolute blast. I will never forget the feeling of making that first pass. Everything became a blur except the color of the water flying some 6" underneath us.

I've been lucky enough to make some pretty fast passes in a number of mid-sized boats, hit 95+ on a dirt bike in the desert, but I can safely say nothing will ever compare to hitting 110+ in a small v-drive. If you should ever be offered the opportunity to take a ride in one or any other rocket ship, my only advice is, SAY YES.

We had 2 cameras on the boat Saturday and the footage came out amazing, if I say so myself. I will do my best to get it up as soon as possible, so you can get a glimpse into what it's like riding in the blown-alcohol k-034.

Chris and his wife are great people,not surprised you had a fast safe run, Probably didn't feel the cold. Its sure super to be on the river with friends and familly

I agree, forgot to add that Chris is one helluva driver! Never did I feel unsafe.

Had a great time all weekend.. Fire ball shots may have over done it but those things are good!! I did have to steal a couple pics they are good ones..

Thanks to Hotboat.com for the footage, cant't wait to see it. Had a great time hanging out with the hotbaot.com crew, great people, no wonder why this site kicks ass, can't wait till the next event. And big thanks to PapaLetch for getting in that freezing cold water and and Mrs.K-034 for keeping the boat running good all weekend

Thanks again , such an awesome weekend. Bummer about the motor though, what's the final verdict? Rocker arm?
The footage came out amazing I can't wait to put something together. Hopefully within the next few days I'll have something to put up
